It’s common for corporate-owned assisted living facilities to experience a turnover rate of 65% or higher with their care-giving staff within the first year of employment. Residents just get settled in and comfortable with their caregivers, and then he or she is gone, only to be replaced by another face…and then another.
The Harbor Court is proud to offer a veteran, caring and professional staff—many of who have been with the facility since the beginning. On average, our team members have over a decade of service with The Harbor Court.
We focus on niche care and a collaborative approach. Our aids focus on our residents and their needs, not their housekeeping and laundry. We have a layered team approach so that our aids spend all their time assisting residents, letting the housekeeping and laundry staff take care of those other things. At The Harbor Court, each department focuses on its specialty area versus a whole-task or general approach, which burns out the caregivers and robs the residents of the attention they deserve.
Whether a resident needs a little help putting on her makeup, or he just wants someone to watch the big game with, our staff can and will take the time to focus on your loved ones’ needs. It’s their job, and it’s one they love doing.
